At a time in my life where I was very lonely and depressing I tried to make my first wooden sword, to be honest it was terrible… It broke quick even though it was made of hardwood, I decided to get good at making things before I tried to make my personal wooden sword again. Years later, after making many, many swords and weapons and armor. I retried with my new skills. I made it perfectly! It has been almost a year now and after taking that sword to hell and back, it has held up beautifully. I made found my purpose on that journey and am no longer lonely and depressing.
I want to help you skip the years of work I put in to allow you to get your own personal and iconic wooden sword. Why a wooden sword? -Less Legally Restricting With a sharp steel sword, you will be quite restricted for where you can take it and what you can do with it. A wooden sword however, is just a piece of wood that was skillfully crafted into a sword. It’s the equivalent to a big stick or baseball bat. -Parent Approved If you tell your mother you want to spend your money on a sharp and deadly steel sword, she might hit you with a shoe. But if you tell her it is a wooden and not made to hurt people, I think she’ll be much more willing to let you buy one. -Less Maintenance When buying a steel sword, you have to worry about rust prevention, keeping it sharp, where you can store it, etc. But with a wooden sword, you can take it to the beach and go surfing on it and throw it down a ditch for a week and it’ll be just fine. In all seriousness, a wooden sword requires a lot less maintenance. -Takes less time to make With some custom steel swords, you have to wait months for the sword to be even finished! The biggest sword I ever made, took me a week and a half to make. So if you ask me to make you something taller than myself, I’m sure you can get it about a month!
