The company that made Swank products was founded as Attleboro Manufacturing Co. in 1897 by Samuel Stone and Maurice Baer, who later in 1936 changed the name to Swank. During World War II the manufacturing ceased and they focused on war efforts, including making dog tags and medals such as the Bronze Stars and Purple Hearts. During the 1950s and 60s the company was again booming in their production of men’s accessories. In the 1970s they partnered with other companies such as Pierre Cardin. Swank ended production in 2012.
