The cord is black on both and is a woven synthetic. The metal end pieces (aiguillettes/aglets) are silver and gold. The silver is shiny and clean. The gold is not as uniform, missing patina.

Wear as a sting tie, or add a decorative clasp or slide. Strings come in various lengths, these are shorter so they fit higher, closer to the neck.
