These scepters are customizable when ordered, by choosing your desired orb color and by choosing your preferred height. The way it works is the orb lights up and flashes when you allow the bottom of the staff to hit the ground.
Disclaimer: The battery is incorporated inside the orb, so it is not possible to replace the battery. However I have sold many of these scepters for over 4 years now with no complaints on battery life so far.
