Athena (Minerva to the Romans) was the Greek virgin goddess of reason, intelligent activity, arts and literature. She was the daughter of Zeus; her birth is unique in that she did not have a mother. Instead, she sprang full grown and clad in armor from Zeus’ forehead.

She was fierce and brave in battle; however, she only took part in wars that defended the state and home from outside enemies. She was the patron of the city, handcraft, and agriculture. She invented the bridle, which permitted man to tame horses, the trumpet, the flute, the pot, the rake, the plow, the yoke, the ship, and the chariot. She was the embodiment of wisdom, reason, and purity. She was Zeus’ favorite child and was allowed to use his weapons including his thunderbolt. Her holy tree was the olive tree and she was often symbolized as an owl.

Now you, too, can be a warrior goddess.Her spear takes many forms over the years between paintings, sculpture, and video games.What I have here are but a few options.Contact me directly if you’re interested in a specific form of Athena’s (or really any) spear that isn’t here.I’m happy to work with you.

The standard version of these items are approximately 72 inches (6 feet) long and made of poplar and pine.They are also modular, meaning they disassemble into two or three pieces for ease of shipping and travel.I can make them as a single piece, but there is an increase in price due to more expensive shipping.I can also build it to fit any size and color you would like.

Is this prop Anime/Comic Convention safe?
Absolutely, it’s a wooden replica and well under most conventions 7 feet prop threshold.

How much damage can it take?
Sword fights will result in dents and even possibly breaking; Wood is a relatively soft material. My props are made primarily for conventions, cosplaying, and collection.
