Historical Cufflinks
Queen Elizabeth II (1970-92), Ulster Defence Regiment, Military Commemorative Cufflinks
These are a beautiful pair of cufflinks made with genuine British Ulster Defence Regiment (UDR) buttons (contemporary Queen Elizabeth II) as worn in service between 1970-1992.The UDR has one of the shortest histories in the British Army; only existing for 22 years, but at its height it was the largest infantry regiment in the British Army. However, during the time regiment was only continuous active service throughout its 22 year history. In 1992 the UDR amalgamated with the Royal Irish Rangers to form the Royal Irish Regiment. This pair of cufflinks is made from two staybrite Ulster Defence Regiment buttons. The cufflinks are made with a swivel back with an attractive diamond pattern on the swivel. They are made using smaller tunic buttons, perfect in size for cufflinks and are 20 mm in diameter.
This is a truly unique gift; the buttons are cleaned and mounted to make a beautiful pair of cufflinks. They are presented in a luxury leatherette and velvet box and cardboard sleeve to make them the perfect present (a wooden box is available on request; please message me).
