The UK coins chosen are both pre and postdecimalisation (1971) , have all been carefully restored to their original former glory,will have nostalgic value for those having used them, and are also beautiful in themselves.

1870-1970, clockwise : Sixpence, Halfpenny, Penny, Threepence, Farthing, Two Shillings, Half a Crown, One Shilling…..The farthing was quarter of one penny, 12 pennies per shilling, 20 shillings per pound……ten shillings ,and one pound upwards were all paper money….

1970-2020 clockwise : 5 pence Thistle, One pound, Two pence, Twenty pence, 5 pence Queen, One pence, Fifty pence, Ten pence .. ( 100 pence per pound )…there are a small number of 2 pound coins in circulation, and paper money for 5, 10, 20 and 50 pounds
